Greenheys Redevelopment
Bruntwood SciTech’s Manchester Science Park
We partnered with Willmott Dixon to support their bid for Bruntwood SciTech’s £60m Greenheys Redevelopment — a new centre for life sciences and innovation at Manchester Science Park, and future HQ of UK Biobank. Spanning 131,000 sq ft across six floors, Greenheys will be a flagship space for biotech, genomics, diagnostics and precision medicine.
Our role was to create a visual identity that reflected the project's ambition, scientific purpose, and forward-thinking ethos. We developed a comprehensive bid design package spanning over 400 pages, using a bold neon colour palette and clean, precise layouts to echo the innovation and energy of the science and tech sectors. Our infographics distilled complex logistical data into clear visuals, enhancing readability and impact.

A standout feature was the organisational chart — shaped like a periodic table — a deliberate nod to the scientific theme, designed to engage reviewers both intellectually and visually. We also produced a custom video book, reinforcing the concept through tactile, interactive storytelling, and demonstrating our print and production expertise.
Our 3D team delivered a full construction sequence visualisation, demonstrating both building methodology and our technical expertise. Every design decision was rooted in the project’s identity, reinforcing our belief that visual communication should be as visionary as the work it supports.
We worked closely with the bid team to deliver a cohesive, intelligent, and memorable submission that mirrored the ambition of Greenheys itself.
Unbuilt’s extensive experience in delivering high profile bids was essential in making key technical decisions related to the document structure. Their contribution to the process went beyond the remit of the graphic design and presentation materials and exceeded our expectations
