Hild Bede & 19th College

We collaborated with Equitix and Equans on the Hild Bede & 19th College Student Hub and Accommodation project — a major Design, Build, Finance, and Operate (DBFO) scheme for Durham University. This project included the refurbishment of the historic Hild Bede College and the creation of a brand-new student hub and accommodation facility comprising 1,178 student rooms.

Our role was to deliver the full brand design and creative direction for the multi-volume digital bid — an extensive submission of over 200 pages. The design closely aligned with Durham University’s visual identity, featuring a custom hue of its signature purple and white, complemented by a clean sans-serif typeface. We also developed key bid graphics that brought the proposal to life, ensuring clarity and consistency throughout.

Beyond the main bid document, we created several supporting materials, including a tailored PowerPoint deck for dialogue sessions and a detailed selection questionnaire. Our close collaboration with the bid team ensured every touchpoint reflected the project’s ambition, university values, and the joint venture’s vision for enhancing student experience at Durham.
